Welcome to the very first episode of "The Intersection Podcast," where your favorite healthy lifestyle coaches Eric and Maleka, a husband-wife duo with decades of shared experience in wellness, share their insights with a generous dash of laughter.
After going back to school to deepen their knowledge, they obtained their bachelors in food and nutrition and a master's in human nutrition. They will leverage this expertise to steer discussions about health, wellness, and everything in between.
From losing approximately 300 pounds combined over ten months, Eric and Maleka are not just health coaches but have experienced the tough journey to better health themselves. The podcast aims to share their journey, discussing how the right nutrition choices played a pivotal role in transforming their lives.
At the heart of their conversation is raising awareness about how the food we consume either fuels better health or feeds chronic diseases. They discuss the disproportionate impact of lifestyle-related diseases on Black Americans and the startling statistics of obesity among Black women. The duo aims to address and dismantle these figures, emphasizing the intersection of diet and lifestyle and their significant contribution to overall well-being.
Join Eric and Maleka every week as they share diet and lifestyle "tipping points"—small changes that bring big health impacts. Between health chats, trending topics, and healthy doses of humor, they keep their listeners engaged, informed, and entertained.
